At Beach House, our approach is holistic, child-centred and inclusive. Through positive relationships with children and families, we promote a joy for life and learning. Our diverse and stimulating learning environment ensures that our children become resilient, reflective and respectful. We believe that successful and sustained partnerships, coupled with open two way communication with parents/families and educators, is vital in meeting each individual child’s needs, enabling them to flourish, develop and reach their full potential.
Our Aims at Beach House Nursery
At Beach House, we strive to provide only the highest standards of care and education for our children and families. We pride ourselves on being a safe, stimulating and happy nursery, with inclusion at the heart of all that we do.
We strongly believe that a child’s early years are crucial, and lay the foundations for all that is to come. In these early years, your child develops a love of learning, learning about themselves, other people, and the world around them.
At Beach House, we understand the impact that positive relationships and enriching learning opportunities can have on young children. We believe strongly in nurturing children’s curiosity and promoting a love of learning within all of the children in our care. We aim to develop children’s confidence and self-esteem, encouraging them to become self-assured and independent learners, who aspire to achieve.
To have effective Home and Nursery relationships by working closely with families to nurture and support children’s learning and progress.
To provide a safe and secure emotional environment, built upon supportive and positive relationships between everyone in our nursery community.
To create an environment where children can express their feelings openly and safely, and where all of their physical and emotional needs are fulfilled.
To create an effective learning environment by ensuring children are presented with open-ended creative experiences in an attractive, calm, purposeful environment, both indoors and outside, with natural materials and natural colours.
To support children to become mastery learners: to ask questions, take and evaluate risks, develop resilience and have ownership for their learning and develop ‘Characteristics of Effective Learning’ (EYFS).
To plan and provide meaningful and enriching learning experiences, which allow children to explore and play, whilst also developing creativity, resilience, positive self-esteem and a love for learning.
To celebrate children’s learning and record their experiences so that children make the best possible progress.
To provide opportunity and access to learning for all at Beach House Nursery according to individual need.
