Free Entitlement (FE) for Two, Three and Four Year olds

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to Universal Free Entitlement, children can access up to 570 hours of childcare each year, or a maximum of 15 hours over 38 weeks. All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for Free Entitlement the term after they become 3 years of age.

Extended Free Entitlement, also known as 30 hours free childcare, is also available for eligible working parents of 3 and 4 year olds. Children can access an additional 570 hours each year, or a maximum of 30 hours per week over 38 weeks (1140 hours in total).

At Beach House we stretch the funding over the year, therefore the number of hours which can be accessed each week is reduced.

Eligible working parents wishing to access the Extended FE can only do so the term after receiving confirmation of their eligibility. You can apply and check your eligibility on the Childcare Choices website. When your eligibility is confirmed, you will be given a code to give to us at Beach House. Please note that you must reconfirm your eligibility online every three months.

Alternatively, families can request to access only their FE hours each week. Places are subject to availability and are offered in blocks of three hours, between 8am - 11am and 1pm - 4pm, term time only.

Two Year Funding - We offer 570 hours of Two Year Free Entitlement funding. Eligible two year olds are entitled to FE the term after they become two years of age.

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free Childcare is a scheme to help working parents pay for registered childcare. Tax-Free Childcare can help towards the costs of childcare for children up to the 1 September following their 11th birthday. For every £8 you pay in to your Tax-Free Childcare Account, the government will pay in an extra £2 towards your childcare costs - up to £2000 per child, per year.
